Choose your panels.
Ethos Energy has access to every make and model of solar panel on the market, and often offers exclusive panels made just for us by trusted manufacturers.
When choosing a solar panel, you’ll want to consider:
- The manufacturer. Ethos Energy works with trusted brands and suppliers to ensure you’ll get the best quality on your roof. Zenernet also has partnerships with many manufacturers that give us access to exclusive products and pricing.
- The wattage. The wattage is the amount of power the panel is capable of producing. A 300-watt panel can produce 300 watts of power in an hour of direct sun exposure. Ethos Energy offers panels in a wide range of wattages.
- The design. The appearance of a solar panel on a roof is important to many homeowners – at Ethos Energy, we take aesthetics seriously. We offer panels in sleek, modern, black-on-black and black-on-white designs.
- The manufacturer’s warranty. The length and level of protection included with your solar panels is an important factor to consider before making your investment.

Choose your inverters.
The inverter is the brain of your solar system. Your panels produce DC (direct current) energy from the sun; your inverter converts that DC power into stable, usable AC (alternating current) energy. The inverter also manages the flow of power between your system, your home, and the grid, ensuring power flows to where it’s needed.
The inverter also collects data that allows you to monitor your system’s production, in real time and over the long term, on your computer or mobile device. There are two types of inverters:
- String Inverter (above left): A string inverter manages multiple panels, wired together in a “string.” For many homes, a single string inverter can manage an entire solar installation. String inverters are time-tested, affordable, reliable, and easy to maintain, but they lack some of the panel-level management capability of microinverters.
- Microinverters (below left): Microinverters are individual inverters installed on each panel in a solar array. They allow sophisticated, panel-level control, which improves system output on roofs with inconsistent sunlight. However, microinverters are generally more expensive than string inverters, and can be difficult to maintain or replace.
Choose your warranties.
Protecting your solar investment is crucial. In addition to manufacturer’s warranties included with the components of your system, Ethos Energyincludes a workmanship warranty, which covers your entire system and your roof from defect or damage as a result of installation. Ethos Energy workmanship warranty is available in 10, 20, and 25 year increments, so you can choose the level of coverage that makes the most sense for you.
